Cruise Planning Questionnaire
The cruise planning questionnaire begins the process of cruise planning. It is used to ensure that the scientific equipment you need for your cruise is aboard and functioning properly and also to communicate your cruise plan to the ship. It is important to note any equipment that you need, if it is not listed it can be taken offline for maintenance or calibration without notification.
The Questionnaire is a one-time submission. It is used to create the Cruise Synopsis in which all additional information with be added.
Follow the link above to MFP (Marine Facilities Planner), UNOLS Cruise Planning Website, and log in to navigate to your cruise workflow. This site will be where all of your planning information will be submitted. Fill out the Cruise Questionnaire step to begin the dialog between the Principal Investigator/Chief Scientist and the WHOI Research Vessel Science Coordinator. Information submitted is forwarded to the shipboard operations teams and shoreside support groups as necessary.
Please include all relevant details and documentation to make your pre-cruise meeting a success. Any additional information, such as diagrams/maps/specification sheets/etc., can be added to the MFP workflow step "Attachments & Vessel Documents".
For any cruise planning questions, please reach out to the WHOI Research Vessel Coordinator, Finn Morrison, at email@example.com.
