Class Field Trip

December 14, 2014

Students from a course entitled “Fundamentals of Shellfish Farming” offered by Woods Hole Sea Grant and the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension hiked out to the tidal flats to tour a shellfish aquaculture operation at Crowes Pasture on Cape Cod in spring of 2014. The course, offered every two years, covers all phases of growing shellfish, for people involved in or interested in learning about shellfish farming. The NOAA-funded Woods Hole Sea Grant program supports research, education, and extension projects that encourage environmental stewardship, long-term economic development, and responsible use of the nation’s coastal and ocean resources.
