A Titanic Task

A Titanic Task

Efforts to preserve the wreck site have focused on the digital: thousands of conventional and stereoscopic images are helping marine archaeologists document and map the ship and surrounding debris field. On September 8, Ocean Science Exhibit Center will have special exhibits and activities coinciding with a sold-out public event where people can learn about efforts to preserve the wreck virtually for generations to come.(Photo by Naomi Blinick, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution)
