Marvel C. Stalcup

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution announces with great sorrow the death of former employee Marvel C. Stalcup on January 14, 2023. He was 91.

Marvel began his career at WHOI in 1961 as a research assistant in the Physical Oceanography Department working with William Metcalf. In 1984, he began working with Terry Joyce, and in 1992, with John Toole.  He left in 1998.
