Postdoctoral Investigator Yanxu Chen

Yanxu Chen, Postdoctoral Investigator, joins WHOI’s PO Department.  Yanxu earned her PhD from École Normale Supérieure, Laboratoire de Météorologie Dynamique.  Yanxu’s research interests are water mass (trans)formation, subduction and dissipation.  She is currently working Lisan Yu’s group on air-sea interaction at the mesoscale.  Yanxu is interested in philosophy (basically thinking of silly questions every day).  Those who inspire Yanxu the most are Spinoza, Nietzsche and Wittgenstein and art (physics is rather one type of art for her).
