Don Anderson briefed the Senate Commerce Committee on Harmful Algae Blooms in general, and ) about a new program to move into more applied research on HAB prediction, control and mitigation (see link on right). The briefing was to begin preparing the staff for reauthorization of the Harmful Algal Bloom and Hypoxia Research and Control Act which expires at the end of next year.
