Charles F. Hall

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution has received word of the death
of retiree Charles F. Hall of Thomaston, Maine.  He was 82.

Charles Hall was born June 24, 1923.   He joined the Woods
Hole Oceanographic Institution staff in October 1985 as a temporary
chief engineer on R/V Oceanus, and began working as chief engineer on R/V Atlantis II in October 1987.  He also worked briefly on R/V Knorr in 1991, but spent most of his career at WHOI on the Atlantis II before retiring from the Institution in August 1993.
