The team from the Coastal Systems Group conducted surveys on the islands and in the lagoon during March 2015. Atoll islands are extremely vulnerable to sea level rise and storm surge, and understanding the relationships between atoll morphology, reef geometry, sea level, and wave dynamics is vital to predicting how climate change will impact them in the future.
