Celebrating Success

Celebrating Success

September 30, 2018

The WHOI Center for Marine Robotics (CMR) fosters collaboration between WHOI engineers and scientists and industry sponsors, academic partners, and key government agencies, in order to develop new robotic systems and use them in novel ways in the marine environment. WHOI’s pressure test facility was recently upgraded by CMR, a milestone that was celebrated at this summer’s Entrepreneur’s Showcase & Leadership Forum. Damon Cox (right), the Mass. Assistant Secretary of Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Chair of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative Board, and CMR Director Jim Bellingham (center) cut the ribbon to mark the facility’s reopening.
