Andy Bowen, director of the National Deep Submergence Facility at WHOI, right, showed off the Institution’s newest underwater vehicle, Nereid Under Ice, (NUI) to Admiral Jonathan Greenert, Chief of Naval Operations. Greenert visited WHOI Nov. 6 for discussions with scientists and engineers about advancements that could enhance Naval capabilities around the globe, including the fast-changing Arctic.
