Members of the WHOI Port Office, who manage the operations of WHOI’s ships, gather on stage as Rob Munier, vice president for marine facilities and operations at WHOI (at podium) announces that they had won the institution’s Penzance Award “for sustained exceptional performance, for outstanding representation of the WHOI spirit, and for major contributions to the personal and professional lives of our staff.” From left are Dutch Wegman, port engineer, Hank Ayers, marine engineer, Beth Ryan, administrative associate, Al Suchy, director of ship operations, Kerry Heywood, ship operations coordinator, and Mike Brennan, marine personnel coordinator.
