Welcome Postdoctoral Investigator Jacob Forsyth

Jacob Forsyth, Postdoctoral Investigator, joins WHOI’s PO Department. Jacob earned his PhD in Physical Oceanography from the MIT/WHOI Joint Program. His research interests are studying the dynamics responsible for variability in shelf and shelf break regions. His thesis work focused on the impact of Warm Core Rings on the shelf temperatures and velocities. Pre-pandemic, Jacob spent most of his time playing soccer, though staying home has allowed him to expand his passion for cooking recipes that require attention all day.  Photo by Linnet Tse.
