WHOI Blog from AGU

December 1, 2005

Check the WHOI blog for news updates from the American Geophysical Union (AGU) fall meeting. More than 10,000 Earth, space and ocean scientists are converging on San Francisco this week for the premier annual meeting in their field.  Hundreds of presentations and poster sessions each day will cover such topics as hydrothermal vents, ocean ridges, earthquakes, a giant flood in the Black Sea, and new findings in ocean circulation and climate change. Check here daily at 10 a.m. EST for posts highlighting presentations of interest and accounts of the general fracas that is the AGU fall meeting.

This is a special edition of Ocean Pulses highlighting just a few of the hundreds of presentations and poster sessions to be presented by Institution staff at the meeting. Abstract information is listed at the end of each item for reference. Further information can be found in the AGU program guide.
