During one of the science tours, Kelly Young shows First Officer Steve Burke Arctic zooplankton caught in her “bongo” nets (bongo because there are two of them side by side). These nets are cast from the bow during many of the rosette stations.  Left to right: nurse Amelie Francoeur; First Officer Steve Burke; Kelly Young; Logistics Officer Nathan Wiffen; Commanding Officer Wayne Duffett. Science Tour redux: Third Officer Nick Houle; Cadet Aidan Davidson; Cadet Adam Wathier; Clerk/Storekeeper Shawn Rideout; and Assistant Cooks Michael Piercey and Jared Ash (Tamara Fraser in the background is peering out from her lab) (Peter Lourie)

Bingo every Saturday attracts scientists and crew alike, followed by some time at the bar.

Leading Seaman Gillian Annable, working the winch for the rosette going down to its deepest level of the trip, almost 3900 meters! (Peter Lourie)

Sometimes when the rosette comes up, all 800 pounds of bottles on a dolly, it rolls right into the rosette shack without a hitch, as it did early this morning, making everyone look very professional. (Peter Lourie)
