Airgun Shot

SHARE THIS:

The sight and sound of an airgun shot were captured by a GoPro underwater video camera. Airguns generate low-frequency sound waves, and lots of bubbles, by releasing large charges of compressed air. The airgun was being towed by R/V Marcus G. Langseth and was positioned about 9 meters below the sea surface. (Greg Horning, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution)
