Research Interests

Formation and drift mechanisms of baroclinic eddies flowing over bottom topography; stability of baroclinic coastal currents at the shelfbreak; eddy interaction with seamounts; shelf-slope water exchange through interaction of eddies with buoyancy-driven currents; density currents over sloping topography and consequent formation of eddies; multiple-state flows; laboratory and theoretical modeling for geophysical fluid dynamics.
