A new mixed layer depth climatology for 1993-2018 is produced based on an observational dataset from the Northeast Fisheries Science Center hydrography program. This mixed layer depth climatology is the first regional climatology for the Northeast U.S. continental shelf. Spatial mixed layer depth variations are seasonally dependent, with greatest homogeneity in summer. Interannual variability dominates long-term linear trends in most regions and seasons.
