As of early May, there is a general lack of toxicity reported along the coast of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. 

In late April, the Anderson laboratory deployed an Environmental Sample Processor (ESP) in western Maine, south of Casco Bay. That instrument is currently not detecting Alexandrium fundyense cells in those waters.  We are mounting a survey in mid-May to sample the waters near the ESP deployment site while the instrument is sampling to confirm the ESP data. Reports from that cruise will be posted on this site.
