  • Understanding the influence of marine microorganisms on biogeochemical cycles and their responses to changing conditions
  • Functional analyses of microbial communities as well as cultivated strains
  • Transcriptomic and enzymatic characterization of metabolic pathways important in coastal ecosystems (eg. sulfur oxidation, organic matter degradation, etc.)
