Gary Jaroslow
The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution announces with great sorrow the death of former Joint Program student Gary Jaroslow over the weekend.
Gary did his thesis on crustal accretion and tectonism at slow spreading ridges, graduating in 1996. He then worked for many years at Sea Education Association as a faculty member and associate dean and more recently as a professor at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Gary touched many lives with his infectious appreciation for the important things in life and with his love of the ocean. He will be very much missed.
There will be a celebration of Gary’s life and a gathering of his friends and family on the SEA campus, 171 Woods Hole Road, Falmouth, Mass., on Sunday, May 21 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the “Gary Jaroslow Memorial Fund” c/o Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank in Falmouth
