Albert C. Sherman

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution announces with great sorrow the death of retiree Albert C. Sherman on August 14, 2010.  He was 67.

Albert was born April 7, 1943. He attended the University of Maine at Orono, majoring in Biology/Biochemistry from 1961-1963 and 1972-1973. He received a Medical Technology certificate from the Carnegie Institute of Medical Technology in Boston in 1966.

Albert began his career at WHOI in 1974 as a research assistant I in the Biology Department. He stayed in that position until he transferred to the Procurement Department as a buyer in March of 1979. He remained in that position until 1982.  He retired in September 2005.
