This week, we are highlighting PO’s own Frank Bahr, who joined the PO Department in 1991. Frank was hired by Jim Luyten for a series of cruises using the SeaSoar, a towed undulating instrument platform for fast, high resolution hydrography of the upper ocean. With WHOI’s SeaSoar is now defunct (Scripps still has one), Frank refocused to support various other instruments, with shipboard ADCPs being a specialty. In his spare time, Frank enjoys biking, sometimes with (sometimes after) his dog Cody, and building Lego trains.  Photo by Sindre Skrede.
