Postdoctoral Investigator Yan Sun joins WHOI’s PO Department. Yan earned her PhD in Physical Oceanography from Ocean University of China. Her research interests include large-scale ocean circulation; boundary current system; overflow water; low-frequency variability and dynamics. Yan is working with Bob Pickart on the variability and dynamics of the West Greenland Boundary Current System using multi-year mooring data.

In her free time, Yan enjoys watching sunsets, cycling along the bike path, watching TV dramas and playing fun games.
