The IWR Array team (https://nopp-giw.ucsd.edu/teams/waterhouse/) from the National Ocean Partnership Program (NOPP) (https://nopp.org/) Global Internal Wave (NGIW) study (https://nopp-giw.ucsd.edu/) just deployed an Internal Wave Resolving Array south off the Aleutian Islands as part of cruise AT50-39. The array comprises nine current- and pressure-sensor equipped inverted echo sounders (CPIESs) from WHOI, surrounding a full water column mooring from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The team just deployed the final CPIES of the array: (from left to right) Catfish (Bosun on the RV Atlantis), Jessica Kozik (Senior Engineering Assistant WHOI/PO), Drew Cole (Mooring Technician, Land and Sea Support) and Will Harris (MIT/WHOI Joint Program, AOSE). You can track the whereabouts of RV Atlantis herehttps://www.whoi.edu/what-we-do/explore/ships/ships-atlantis/ships-atlantis-tracker/
