Eugene (Gene) Pineault

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution announces with great sorrow the death of retiree Eugene (Gene) Pineault in Maine on January 31.  He was 86. 

Gene was born July 18, 1924.  He received a diploma from Somersworth High School in Somersworth, NH in 1942.

Gene began his career at WHOI in 1975 as a Security Guard.  In 1976, he was promoted to Shipping and Receiving Clerk.  In 1977 he was promoted to Senior Shipping and Receiving Clerk.  In 1980, he transferred to the stockroom as a Stockroom Clerk.  In 1981, he transferred to Purchasing and retired in 1987.
