The campaign has had a significant impact on our Institution’s research and academic programs. The four ocean institutes, established at the start of the campaign to address areas of significant concern to both the general public and policymakers, have funded 213 research awards, 43 fellows, 34 postdoc scholars, and 22 graduate students. In addition, the campaign established our Access to the Sea program, which not only enabled us to build the R/V Tioga and endow its support, but continues to fund new ocean observing technologies. We’re grateful to the members of our Board and Corporation for their continuing generosity--together they are responsible for 45% of the total. Congratulations to Dan Stuermer and the Development team for completing this ambitious campaign. » View Campaign Committee Chair Bill Kealy's presentation to the Board of Trustees (ppt) Last updated: September 4, 2009 | |||||||||||||||||
