World Ocean Day 2013

Every year on June 8, we celebrate World Oceans Day, a day to reflect on the importance of the global ocean in daily life and in the life of our planet. The ocean covers more than two-thirds of the face of the planet, is responsible for half the oxygen we breathe, regulates global climate, and provides us with food, energy and natural resources.
