THE WOODS HOLE FILM FESTIVAL

On Friday, December 5, the Woods Hole Film Festival presents a special screening of the new holiday film A CHERRY PIE CHRISTMAS by John Stimpson. And, the “Dinner & A Movie” series continues Saturday, December 6, 2025, with the feature documentary VIVA VERDI! by Yvonne Russo. A CHERRY PIE CHRISTMAS by John Stimpson, USA, 90 mins., 2025, starring Katie Leclerc, Ryan Carnes, Ed Amatrudo, Debrah Farentino will be held on Friday, December 5, 7 p.m., Clapp Auditorium, Lillie Building, 7 MBL Street, Woods Hole. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $20, $14 for members, and $10 for students and military. A CHERRY PIE CHRISTMAS starring Katie LeClerc (Switched at Birth and A Cape Cod Christmas) and Ryan Carnes (Desperate Housewives) tells the homespun story of a Chicago pastry chef who returns to her small-town roots in Door County, Wisconsin (known as the Cape Cod of the Midwest) during the holidays and must decide between her dream job in Chicago and her family’s struggling orchard business with a little help from her high school sweetheart, a long- lost cherry pie recipe and a bit of Christmas magic. VIVA VERDI! feature documentary by Yvonne Russo, USA, 77 mins., 2025, English and Italian will be shown on Saturday, December 6, at 7 p.m., Redfield Auditorium, 45 Water Street, Woods Hole. Doors open at 6:30 p.sm. Tickets are $18, $12 for members, and $10 student/military. “Dinner & A Movie” is a program of the Winter/Spring Film Series, twice-monthly in-person screenings of independent film from September 2025 through June 2026. The screenings will be held in the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s Redfield Auditorium, located at 45 Water Street, Woods Hole. Tickets are on sale in advance at www.woodsholefilmfestival.org and at the door if they are not sold out in advance. Before the screening, ticket holders may receive a discount on the meal portion of dinner at the Captain Kidd Restaurant and Bar, 77 Water Street, Woods Hole, and Quahog Republic Leeside Pub, 29 Railroad Ave, Woods Hole. Ticket holders must make reservations directly with the restaurant. The festival is supported in part by grants from the Woods Hole Foundation, the Falmouth Fund of the Cape Cod Foundation, the Cape Cod Foundation, the Martha’s Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation, and Cape Cod 5.
