The Ocean Vital Signs Network (OVSN) is hosting an annual WHOI-wide meeting on its progress this year and announcing an upcoming OVSN internal funding opportunity. OVSN is focused on assessing the ocean’s carbon pumps, carbon stocks and transformations, and their relationships to the dynamics of marine ecosystems, physico-chemical changes and transport processes that range from the surface to the seafloor. As OVSN grows and offers this second RFP, we are looking to grow and mature the program with new ideas that can link and expand our initial projects, while welcoming ideas that take OVSN in new directions. The OVSN event is happening November 14^th from 1-2pm in Redfield Auditorium, with a social time from 2-2:30 to discuss new ideas.
