  1. Please contact the laboratory prior to dropping off samples to arrange proper preservation so that processing can be conducted within the maximum holding times. Reagents and standards will be made fresh in preparation for sample delivery.
  2. Please ship samples stored on ice and contained within a cooler. If requested and a FedEx (or equivalent) account number is provided, the shipping supplies (cooler, etc) and remaining sample will be returned upon completion of the analysis. Leftover samples will be discarded after 90 days unless arrangements are made for pickup.
  3. The laboratory is located on the fourth floor (Room 439) of the Clark building at the Quissett Campus of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
  4. If the samples need to be shipped to the Nutrient laboratory, fill out the shipping label (see Related Files) and make sure to attach all chain of custody's (see Related Files) for the samples being analyzed.
  5. When shipping a sample set greater than 20 samples an excel spreadsheet of the sample ID's can be attached without having to fill out multiple chain of custody's.
