Research Interests

Environmental radioactivity: application of radioactive nuclides to problems in oceanography, geochemistry, and geochronology; use of radionuclides to examine chemical exchange at interfaces (e.g., water/particle, water/sediment, water/rock, and water/air interfaces); applications to the study of chemical fluxes in the oceanic water column and processes by which radionuclides and trace metals are removed from the ocean; applications to the interpretation of the deep-sea sediment record.
