Voyage #386 of R/V Tioga concluded today with a transect off Cape Ann, where the live counts were all zeros. A composite map of all the data is attached. Also included is a zoom-in on the high-resolution nearshore survey we occupied in eastern Maine on Wednesday July 22. That survey plan was devised in collaboration with Darcie Couture from Maine DMR, who pointed out to us the nearby coastal areas that had been experiencing the most severe toxicity in recent weeks. The track took us from Southwest Harbor into Frenchman Bay, Winter Harbor, Mosquito Harbor, around Schoodic point and into Prospect Harbor. Cell concentrations were low overall, peaking at 154 cells per liter. Once again, thanks are due to the Captain Ken Houtler and mate Ian Hanley of the R/V Tioga for their outstanding efforts during this rapid response survey work.
