Research Interests
Understanding the causes and mechanisms of climate change on decadal to millennial timescales, with a particular emphasis on reconstructing past changes in the circulation of the North Atlantic during the Holocene and last glacial cycle. Development and application of foraminiferal Mg/Ca paleothermometry and trace metal analysis. Sediment grain size analysis to reconstruct deep-sea currents. Radiocarbon, Pa/Th, and Nd isotope analyses as tracers of ocean circulation and carbon cycling. Tephra stratigraphy.
