This video describes the Shelf Research Fleet pilot program, which was funded through October 2016 by The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Since then, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Commercial Fisheries Research Foundation have obtained funding from the van Beuren Charitable Foundation of Newport, R.I., to extend the project for another two years, and they hope to continue the collaboration indefinitely.
