Bring the ocean to your inbox
Scientists from around the world came to Woods Hole in early November to attend the Forum for Arctic Ocean Modeling and Observational Synthesis (FAMOS) annual meeting organized by polar researchers Andrey Proshutinsky (front, right) of WHOI and Mike Steele (front, left) of the University of Washington. FAMOS is an international effort to strengthen collaboration among Arctic researchers and synthesize results from field studies and experiments to gain a better understanding of the Arctic climate system. During a break in the busy three-day agenda, which included a media training workshop for early-career scientists, the group posed for a photo outside of Redfield Laboratory on the WHOI Village Campus.
