Amelia Macapia

Amelia Macapia is a marine conservationist and science writer presently based in Brooklyn, New York. Her bookshelf is filled with sea stories in the spirit of Rachel Carson, the writer that first sparked her curiosity in the marine environment. She studies Environmental Science and Policy at Columbia University, which builds on a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tufts University and two bioacoustics research appointments at WHOI. Her writing has appeared in Eos, Science News Explores, and MIT Science Policy Review.
