Ready for Research

During a rare appearance together at the WHOI dock one foggy day this summer, the research vessels Atlantis and Neil Armstrong are prepped to steam to their next research locations: off Reykjavik, Iceland, for Atlantis, and southeast of Martha’s Vineyard for Neil Armstrong. Both vessels are owned by the U.S. Navy and operated by WHOI as part of the University-National Oceanographic Laboratory System (UNOLS).
