Open to the Public

WHOI’s Iselin Marine Facility will be a focal point of activities and displays during the Woods Hole Science Stroll this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free public event highlights the diverse array of ocean research, policy, education, outreach, and advocacy that originates from this tiny village on Cape Cod. This year, visitors to the WHOI dock will be able to view JetYak, Nereid Under Ice, a Slocum glider, a REMUS autonomous underwater vehicle, and many other instruments and tools used in ocean science and exploration. In addition, dock visitors can see and take photos of WHOI’s human-occupied submersible Alvin, which will be out on the fantail of the WHOI-operated research vessel Atlantis (foreground).
