Easy Does It

Hovey Clifford guides 2004 Summer Student Fellows Elizabeth Cushman and Tiffany Psemeneki through the deployment of a clamshell grab sampler to collect sediment from the floor of Buzzards Bay. As part of their research education, student fellows spend a day on the R/V Tioga getting hands-on experience with instruments including a plankton net, water samplers, gravity corer, and sidescan sonar.
