On the Road in Barbados

WHOI research assistant Mary Lardie holds an information card while geochronologist William Thompson takes a photo of a large fossil coral during the 2009 Geodynamics Field Trip to Barbados. Each year, students and staff in the Geodynamics program travel to a place where geologic features visible on the surface, such as this ancient coral, hold the key to understanding ocean processes and events.
