Students in two undergraduate programs—the WHOI Summer Student Fellowship Program and the Woods Hole Partnership Education Program, a multi-institution effort to promote diversity—spend a summer in Woods Hole immersed in marine and environmental sciences. Students devote their time to learning and doing research, and spend a day on Tioga with WHOI instructors learning about basic oceanographic techniques.
