Chen and Beardsley utilized FVCOM to create highly detailed reconstructions of how the tsunami impacted certain locations. This simulation depicts a series of waves hitting and flooding the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant. The 20 foot-high seawalls protecting the plant were completely submerged.
