REEFS A CHANCE!

Give Reefs a Chance

Corals are in crisis, but we have a plan

Amy-Smile-1

Coral reefs play a vital role in sustaining the health of our ocean and our planet, but they are dying at an alarming rate. If coral reefs are going to survive they need people to understand the problems, science to develop solutions, and technology to scale up the solutions to reach all reefs. We have a plan to help corals in crisis and, with your support, give reefs a chance.

Coral reefs are in decline worldwide

Stressed corals often expel the photosynthetic algae that provide them food, causing them to “bleach” and turn ghostly white. If things don’t change the corals will starve and die. But growing knowledge about why reefs bleach and die is rapidly turning into solutions that could help protect and even restore these critical ecosystems that support ocean and human health.
