Under the (Red) Sea

The Red Sea harbors an abundance of coral, fish, and other marine creatures, particularly on the shelf edge outside of Jeddah (where this photo was taken). WHOI researchers will be visiting the Red Sea in the spring and fall of 2008 for extensive surveys of the corals, mangroves, and oceanographic current systems of the region, in collaboration with researchers from Saudi Arabia.
