Sticking Around

Over the years, the Narwhal Hotel in Resolute Bay, Canada, has hosted adventurers, tourists, science teams, pilots, and oil, gas, and mineral prospectors from all over the world, a fact that is immortalized on a door in the dining area. The North Pole Environmental Observatory crew of which WHOI was a part in 2007 has been working out of the Narwhal since 2002, due to its proximity to the airport and warehouse, and the hotel’s no-nonsense approach to hosting its guests.
