Researching North Atlantic right whales in Cape Cod Bay

It’s a sure sign of spring in New England: the return of North Atlantic right whales to northern waters. As these critically-endangered marine mammals migrate from their southern breeding grounds, #WHOI and db1feded-e82e-4099-997f-cf82b03b1cd9 researchers head out to observe them. Drone imagery helps them identify individuals and calves and document changes to their body condition.
