Guiding a Seafloor Lander

Boatswain Clindor Cacho guides the handling of a multi-corer on working deck of the research vessel Oceanus in the summer of 2007. The ship was working along the West African Margin, collecting seafloor sediment for marine chemists Tim Eglinton and Daniel Montlucon (WHOI) and paleoceanographer Peter DeMenocal (Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory) for the CHEETA (Changing Holocene Environments of the Eastern Tropical Atlantic) experiment .
