Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution will host the first annual New England Glaciology Meeting: NEGM 2015! The meeting will be held on April 16th and 17th across the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s Quissett and Village campuses.Discussions and talks can be on any topic relating to the cryosphere.
Building on the long and successful tradition of NWGM and MGM, NEGM is an informal, small meeting (~30–50 people), where everyone in attendance is encouraged to give an oral presentation on recent results or work in progress. NEGM is a great conference for students. There are no abstracts, but a brief presentation topic or title is requested during registration to aid in coordinating talks. Organized around ample lunch and coffee breaks, NEGM aims to foster informal research discussions while building relationships across glaciology research groups in New England (though all are welcome.)
If you are interested in attending the meeting, please send us your information through the registration link by March 31th. There is no registration fee, but a contribution of $20 will be collected upon arrival to cover coffee breaks and Friday’s lunch. Attendees will choose among the many sandwich spots in Woods Hole Village for their lunch on Thursday. We will head out to a local restaurant for dinner on Thursday night. Detailed meeting specifics (schedule, locations, etc.) will be sent out in early April to registered participants.
We hope to see you in Woods Hole this April!
