We will deploy four different types of drifting buoys on the cruise, for other investigators.
1. UptempO buoy (Mike Steele^). This contains a thermistor string. We may deploy 1-2 of them in deep water.
2. SVP (Ignatius Rigor^). This contains a barometer and SST sensor. We will deploy 9 of them.
3. AXIB (Ignatius Rigor^). This is a more robust version of the SVP designed to survive freeze-up and ridging/rafting events more effectively. We will deploy 3 of them.
4. Bio-optical Argo float (Mike Steele^).
