Research Statement
Overall goal is to develop and improve reliable components used in moorings of oceanographic surface and subsurface buoys, for the mooring and towing of ships and instrument packages, and for rope and cable components in other challenging applications.
Current emphasis is to mature the design, fabrication, and testing of long term survivable high stretch buoy mooring components with embedded conductors.
